What Septic Tanks Do
Septic tanks are a primary treatment method to clean sewage; the main purpose of these tanks is to remove the solids in the sewage. They comprise an incoming pipe (Influent) and an outgoing pipe (effluent).
In many cases septic tanks can discharge the effluent into a network of pipes under the ground. In some areas, however, the soil is not appropriate and will not allow the effluent to disperse, which can also happen due to clogging of perforated effluent pipes.
We strongly advise a percolation test of your ground before deciding on the appropriate waste water treatment services for your property.
